Creativity, Education &
Opportunity Thrive Here

You’ve reached the landing page for the Makers Paradise Berkeley campus, proudly serving the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding region.

We’re a nonprofit dedicated to fostering community engagement through art and training programs. We create spaces where artistic ideas thrive, and cultures unite. Our gallery is a canvas where possibilities abound.

We're about art with impact. Our programs reach underserved communities through specialized initiatives. We champion veteran and disabled artists to ensure that every voice is celebrated.

Our doors proudly opened in April 2019. Beyond a gallery, we offer studio rentals, community events, and training programs that empower emerging artists within underserved communities.

A Renaissance of Creativity & Space

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we engaged in a transformation of spirit and in renovating our physical home space.

The rebirth of the Makers Paradise storefront and gallery included:

  • A Radiant Facade: We embrace the new face of our gallery and will soon unveil our redesigned exterior.

  • Inside Out Transformation: From a new ADA-compliant floorplan to walls painted with passion and precision, every corner will echo our dedication to the arts and our inspiring artists.

Stay tuned as we reveal photographs of our revamped "digs." And as you walk by, keep an eye out for new signage and the myriad of special touches that make our space a true paradise for makers.

A Canvas of Collaboration & Community

Born from a union of visionary minds, Makers Paradise stands as a testament to the combined efforts of Lawrence Silva, Tom Franco, and Christopher Flynn.

Their dream was to forge a nurturing haven for both seasoned artists and budding creators, allowing them to not only shine but also market their craft.

Since its inception in April 2019, Makers Paradise has evolved into more than just an idea. Situated at 1790 Shattuck Avenue in the heart of Berkeley, California, it blossomed to a full-fledged art gallery.

But it's more than walls and canvases. This space vibrates with community events, offers the solace of studio rentals, and champions training programs designed to elevate emerging artists to new pinnacles of success.

Join us in celebrating art, fostering growth, and championing dreams.

“Makers Paradise is a place where artists can make their creative visions a reality in a safe and collaborative environment.”

LAWRENCE SILVA | Director
